“It’s work! You’re not supposed to enjoy it!”.
That’s what people used to say, and sadly some still do.
If that’s your view of work it’s time to change your mind. Work should be something you enjoy that supports the lifestyle you’ve chosen.
What gets me up in the mornings is finding ways to help people enjoy work more, whether that’s within their current role or organisation, getting a new role, or making a wholesale career change or creating a portfolio of income streams. Seeing those outcomes puts a big smile on my face and is why I love my work.
Now there’s a question. Stop and think for a moment.
If you had to rate your current role on a scale from 0 (not at all) to 10 (perfectly), what score would you give it?
It’s not a question most people ever stop to think about, especially whilst they are in a role, but often also when they are looking for a new job. The focus is mainly on what they bring to the company; their skills, qualities, the results they’ll get and how they will contribute to the company’s success.
What if you could know exactly what a job needs to do for you so that you feel fulfilled and happy?
What if you knew what all of your skills and qualities are, how transferable they are, which are your strengths, which you want to develop more and which you want to leave behind?
That would tell you what an ideal job is for you right now.
And what if, once you know your ideal job, you knew where to start and how to make it happen.
What if you could do that for FREE?
Next Monday I’m launching my FREE 5 DAY Get Unstuck and Enjoy Your Career Challenge.
